State Minister Caglayan Leaves For Libya
ISTANBUL (A.A) – 07.10.2009 – Turkish State Minister Zafer Caglayan left for Libya on Wednesday to have several talks.
Caglayan will meet high ranking Libyan officials to assess trade and economic relations and meet Turkish businessmen working in Libya.
In an earlier statement, Foreign Trade Undersecretariat said that commercial relations between Turkey and Libya had grown in the recent five years.
According to the statement, Libya was the third biggest trade partner of Turkey in Africa in 2008. Also, the trade volume between the two countries was around 1.4 billion USD in 2008.
The statement also said that Turkish companies had undertaken projects over 9 billion USD in Libya in the last three years.
